Hi friends, today I am going to share a very interesting story of Government of Rajasthan partnership with SBI and its subsidiaries.
State Bank of India, one of the most recognized and trusted brands in banking, partnered with Rajasthan State Government e-Mitra Platform in year 2011–12 with its net banking services integration.
Later in year 2015–16, SBI offered its online payment aggregation services through its channel named SBIePay to e-Mitra. In year 2016, at the time of conceptualization of Rajasthan Payment Platform (RPP), SBIePay was studied thoroughly along with other payment gateway system and its key features were incorporated in Core RPP System. So, we can say that we learned lots of things from this prime payment gateway service provider which is run by the largest bank of country.
Indispensable Partner
Since it’s bonding with RPP, SBI did outstanding contribution to the state by offering its SBIePay payment gateway services for the noble cause of collecting donations in Chief Minister Relief Fund, Covid-19 Vaccination donation fund and that’s also FREE of COST i.e., no burden of convenience fees or MDR on citizen or department using their services.
This is the not the first time they extended their support to state government departments. During year 2017 to 2020 SBI team extended their support to “Mukhyamantri Vidyadaan Kosh”, Governor Relief Fund, Sainik Kalyan Board, and few more by offering its payment gateway services at so cheap rates.
Payment Modes
SBIePay provides one of the most comprehensive and elaborative payment modes, covering almost all, through RPP to the end-user-departments. This exhaustive list of payment options in-turn provides payment convenience to the citizens of Rajasthan State. Various payment modes include — Net Banking (45+ banks), Cards (Master/Visa/Rupay), UPI, NEFT, Cash-at-Counter.
Best Functional Mode
NEFT and UPI are no-doubt most frequently used on Rajasthan Payment Platform. UPI is used in transaction where ticket size is up-to Rs. 2000 whereas NEFT is frequently used by corporate users for transactions where ticket size ranges between Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 10 Crore (in single transaction).
Key Highlights
- Most preferred payment collection partner for most of the Govt. bodies in state, specially having account in SBI and department team is having good confidence with SBI services.
- SBIePay has established high standards in Payment Aggregation servicing in terms of up-time, transaction success rates, reporting, query resolution and onboarding
- SBIePay auto-return process for transaction failed after 15minute of transaction initiation is much appreciated as it reduced consumer’s grievances.
High Confidence Level
Currently, leveraging on State Bank of India’s Brand equity and goodwill in the market, SBIePay is aggressively moving towards becoming the leading payment aggregation platform for various merchants, by handling huge volumes and by processing massive no. of transactions.
Rajasthan Payment Platform team feel quite happy in onboarding new departments on SBIePay Network due to its good API structure and its flexibility in incorporating new requirements from RPP to make system more robust and user friendly.
